VDI社のパワーメーターはドライカロリメーター方式で75GHzから最大3THzまでの帯域で出力計測することができる検出器です。高感度でありながら扱いやすく、高周波数帯でパワー測定可能な検出器がないためミリ波・テラヘルツ帯でVDIパワーメーターが標準化されております。
